100 Word Film Reviews – Safe House

by limebirdaaron

The film that I will be reviewing this week in 100 words is Safe House, starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds.

I know what you’re thinking, can Ryan Reynolds pull off a serious role and the answer is yes. Denzel does what he does best and makes you forget he’s playing the bad guy and the two of them go really well together on screen. There are some impressive car chases and the action is relentless. It’s not a Mensa required script, but it’s not brain dead action either. I can’t think of much about this I didn’t like. If you’re a fan of other Denzel Washington films then this won’t throw up much new, but that’s not a bad thing.

Rating: 8 limes out of 10

So, what did you think? Have you seen it yet?

  1. I have to agree, I really liked this film. I liked Ryan Reynolds in the serious role and I thought Denzel was awesome. I did guess something that was going to happen at the end though… but that’s just cause I’m such a genius… :P

  2. Haven’t seen it yet, but am planning to. Love Denzel and am warming up to Reynolds. :)
